Welcome to the Intensive Journal program.

For over 50 years, we have offered the Intensive Journal program, a powerful and an effective way to get to know yourself better and develop a more meaningful life.

The creator, psychotherapist Ira Progoff, PhD, was a pioneer in the field of psychology who created his unique theories of human development that were published in a series of books.  In the mid-1960s, he then implemented these approaches by creating an integrated system of writing exercises to provide a practical way for you to develop your life.

The program is taught by certified instructors at our workshops throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia under the auspices of Dialogue House Associates, the administrative headquarters for the work of Dr. Progoff. Literally tens of thousands have attended and benefitted from our workshops.

The program can benefit practically anyone who wishes to develop themselves, and we have people of diverse backgrounds and interests attend the program.  Dr. Progoff was most proud of the fact that people with minimal education or interest in self-development programs can benefit greatly since the method employs minimal terminology.

For more information about the program, please visit our extensive website.  I encourage you to join our mailing list and consider attending our workshops that are offered to the public.  You are welcome to contact me at info@intensivejournal.org or at 800-221-5844 to discuss any aspect of our program.

This launches our blog on behalf of the Intensive Journal program.  I intend to use this platform to share with you diverse aspects of the program, including the latest developments as well as challenges that we are facing.  We will also feature our wonderful leaders (journal consultants), discuss programs for particular audiences, share our strategy for developing the program, and much more.

My hope is that it will provide you with an insider's view where you can respond and share comments and questions.
